Wildfox+Disney bomber jacket | River Island leggings | Chiara Ferragni sneakers
These photos were taken before brunch this past Sunday. John and I put our name down at Cafe Clover (photos from brunch are coming soon) and then took advantage of the wait time to get a few photos in.
Something I value when taking photos for my blog is authenticity. All the outfits I share here are things I really wear when I’m out and about. I’m not one to pack outfits and shoes in a bag, put them on once I’m at my destination, take photos and change back to comfortable clothes. My blog is about Downtown NYC culture and style, so I feel it’s important to show you the things I really wear – even if those things are super casual and not so special at times.
When I spotted this perfect bomber jacket at SIX:02, I picked it right up and walked straight to the register – no internal debate needed. This limited edition collaboration between Wildfox + Disney is so cool and pays homage to Beauty and the Beast. All the details on the bomber jacket are embroidered metallic gold, and the quilted black fabric gives it luxe edge. The back says ‘Beauty,’ and the design is a mash-up of Beauty and The Beast’s silhouettes.
I still can’t decide if I’m more into gold or silver details, but I’ve definitely been wearing more gold lately. I paired this jacket with my new Thank You Haters sleeveless tee, black leggings, Chiara Ferragni sneakers (on steep sale right now) and gold Ray Bans.
If you follow my Instagram stories, you’ve already seen that I modified my Ray Bans with custom yellow lenses. I did this a while ago, but I still love how they look.
I’m also wearing my new choker from The French Mermaid, a brand I discovered at Artists & Fleas in SoHo. Arzu, the founder of the brand, curates gorgeous vintage pieces and also makes unique original jewelry using hardware and details from authentic vintage designer pieces. The choker I’m wearing features Louis Vuitton lock and key hardware.
Let me know what you guys think in the comments.
