The Best NYC Restaurants to Brunch this President’s Day

There’s nothing worse than a weekday off with nowhere to brunch. If it were up to me, restaurants would serve brunch food everyday, and lucky for us there are some that do. Here are my favorites that won’t let you down this Monday.

Cookshop | Downtown Native

Cookshop serves its brunch menu from 9am-4pm on Monday holidays. This is one of my favorite spots because of its emphasis on simply prepared meals that are actually healthy. Yes, this brunch will be heavy but I like knowing that the quality of the ingredients is their number 1 priority.  My favorite things from the brunch menu are the breakfast bowl, the oven-baked sunny side up eggs and the pickle bloody.

Two Hands Restaurant & Bar

Two Hands | Downtown Native

This place is the perfect mix of cool atmosphere and amazing food. Breakfast is served every weekday from 8am-4pm, and I actually like the stuff on their weekdays breakfast menu better than their weekend brunch menu.  Choose from Avo toast, breakfast bowls, egg sandwiches or baked items, and the bloody marys are good too.

Bubbys | Downtown Native

Bubby’s is known for its epic brunch that is served every day from 8am-4pm. With stuff like traditional egg dishes, huevos rancheros, eggs and cheese grits and banana bread, there is a comfort food for everyone and you really can’t go wrong. If you’ve really saved your calories all week, you can splurge on their insane biscuits like the jalapeño scramble biscuit, the fried chicken biscuit or the sloppy Joe biscuit.  You’ll also get unique bloody marys like hot pepper and pickle.

Tiny’s and the Bar Upstairs

This place is the coziest spot in the city when you sit in the back room. Its exposed brick walls, wood-burning fireplace and dimly lit ambiance is so key in the colder months. I’ve been here so many times and I never get tired of it. The lunch menu is available on Monday but it contains breakfast items that are awesome. We always order the superfood pancakes, the matzo ball soup and the Tiny’s omelette.  If you order tea, they’ll bring it to you in a cute tea pot too.

Tartine | Downtown Native

If you can get out early, you can catch the Brunch at Tartine – it goes from 9am – 12pm on Monday. The French menu isn’t trying too hard, but it’s so good. I like the Eggs Florentine, the Avocado Hash and the Baked Eggs. The only thing is that they don’t serve alcohol, but the food makes up for it.

Have an amazing day off 🙂
