I love bagels. I try to eat well throughout the work week so I can let loose and eat bagels on the weekends without feeling guilty 🙂
I grew up on bagels from Brooklyn, so the ones I get in Manhattan usually don’t measure up. Black Seed Bagels is one of the few spots in NYC that satisfies my cravings for a good bagel. Their signature bagel sandwiches are really original and tasty as well. Pictured in these photos are the #1 which has smoked salmon, cream cheese, red onion, tomato and capers, and the #7 – ricotta, apple, and honey. Um…they also have pizza bagels, in case your mouth wasn’t already watering.
There are 3 Black Seed Bagels locations in downtown NYC, and I go to the one in Battery Park City. It’s so convenient to get bagels in Brookfield Place/Hudson Eats and head outside to a table by the water to eat. It makes for a perfect relaxing afternoon. The views of the water in Battery Park City are my favorite, it literally feels like I left Manhattan when I go there, even though it’s just across the West Side highway.
