As a native New Yorker, I tend to avoid the touristy and crowded areas of midtown, i.e. Rockefeller Center. But during the Christmas season, this area is honestly magical. From the light shows on Saks Fifth Avenue blasting holiday music to the spectacular tree across the street, it’s something I make a point to visit each year.

John and I celebrated our 6-year anniversary yesterday, and since it falls so close to Christmas, our tradition is to visit the tree (which is also where we had our first ‘official’ date as a couple). So every year, we take a photo under the tree, look down at the skaters on the ice rink, and head to dinner at one of the nice places nearby. It always feels so special! We also stopped at Bouchon Bakery and picked up way too many desserts that we devoured once we got home.

I wore a collared dress and leather jacket from Urban Outfitters. I didn’t see what John was wearing until we met after work, and it turned out we were twinning!
