One of my least favorite things about winter in NYC is that it gets so cold, we lose all the greenery and flowers, and it’s uncomfortable to spend time outdoors. As someone who takes every possible opportunity to dine al fresco when the weather permits, the Doughnuttery Greenhouse is the perfect place to relax when the weather is too cold to sit outside.
With all of the new shops and restaurant openings popping up in the South Street Seaport area, Doughnuttery is one of my favorite spots to indulge and warm up. John and I stopped by the other day, and I was lucky enough to grab a table right near a heater which was so toasty! We treated ourselves to a dozen doughnuts (don’t judge! They’re small and it was cheat day) and we sipped on an apple cider. My favorite doughnut flavors were the lemon poppy, fruity pebble, and the glazed with sprinkles.
It was so cozy to sit and take in the pretty view, forgetting about the reality of the frozen Financial District waiting for us right on the other side of the glass. I really hope this spot sticks around!
You can find Doughnuttery’s locations and hours here. Sorrynotsorry for starting off your Wednesday with a donut craving 🙂
