The NYC Wine & Food Festival and Meatopia events are annual food festivals that raise money for charity, and this year the 2 events merged to create a 4-day foodie bash. John and I were lucky enough to get to stuff our faces at this event last Sunday courtesy of JCPenney 🙂
The event is a massive trade show-style setup featuring a ton of the best restaurants, food brands and vendors in the country. After exploring all the vendors and what they were offering, I realized I wanted to sample everything! Some of my favorite items of the day were the Grilled leg of lamb at Gemma, the Cheesecake Mousse cups at Junior’s, the Japanese-Style Marinated Creekstone Ribeye Tartare at Commerce NYC, and the Grilled Vietnamese Country Pork Ribs with Tomatillo Salsa from Little Beet NYC.
After all that sampling, I was stuffed and exhausted! Luckily, JCPenney had set up an adorable display with big comfy couches and tons of sweets (to aid in digestion, of course!) where I was able to relax and recuperate. The JCPenney setup was complete with tons of spooky homemade Halloween decorations and featured some of their colorful kitchenware and dining sets on display. After seeing how cute the JCPenney Home collection was, I will definitely be shopping soon!
You guys are particularly lucky, because JCPenney is sponsoring a giveaway for my blog readers! JCPenney will be sending one of you an awesome red Charcoal Companion Sauce Pot and Basting Brush. I’ve included a photo of it here, and I will be posting the rules for Giveaway tomorrow (Thursday) morning so be sure to check back in, don’t miss it!
Stay tuned tomorrow for the giveaway details! In the meantime, you can check out the JCPenney Home collection here.
Despite the fact that my jeans feel extra snug this week, I still owe a big THANK YOU to JCPenney for sending me and John to NYCWFF Meatopia!
