I’m so excited to tell you about this new book I received! My dog-loving readers are going to love this 🙂

Dean Koontz, the author we all know for his extensive list of riveting novels, has recently put together an endearing coffee table book named Ask Anna: Advice for the Furry and Forlorn. It’s a beautifully thick coffee table book with a  glossy cover featuring Anna, Dean Koontz’s Golden Retriever.

In the book, dogs of all breeds and sizes ask Anna their troubling questions, and Anna shares her wisdom to help them. Through the questions and answers featured in the book, we get a unique glimpse into what goes on in the minds of our pups, in a language that only Dean Koontz himself can translate for us.

I didn’t expect to read this book from cover to cover immediately upon receiving it, but that’s honestly what happened! I lightheartedly began thumbing through the book, reading a couple of the dogs’ adorable questions and Anna’s funny and matter-of-fact responses. Before I knew it, I had read every page! And I had a new appreciation for the canine species once I did. I especially loved the New York City references in the book.

Dear Anna, I live in the Big Apple. I have to go everywhere on a leash. In Southern California, do you have to go everywhere on a leash? This leash really frustrates me.  -Miffed in Manhattan

Dear Miffed, Your frustration will go away as soon as you understand that it is your people who are leashed, that you are walking them, not the other way around. When they tell you to heel or sit, humor them…but just remember who picks up whose poop.  -Anna

I promise that you’ll find your happy place while reading this book! Between the excellent photos of cute pups and the humorous things they’re saying, it really is the perfect book to enjoy and display on your coffee table to share the fuzzy feelings 🙂

All proceeds from the sales of this book are being donated to Canine Companions for Independence. You can snag your own copy of the book here.
