You know I love a great restaurant, and Sarabeth’s is just that. With 5 locations in Manhattan and a Bakery in Chelsea Market, Sarabeth’s has become a staple in New York City. John and I went to their location in Tribeca several weeks ago for brunch after a long afternoon of mini golf on Pier 25.
What I love about Sarabeth’s is that the menu is extensive and delicious, without trying too hard. I don’t like when restaurants complicate a classic dish for the sake of seeming fancy, especially when it comes to brunch. Stated simply, don’t mess with my brunch!!
With classic omelettes and egg dishes, hearty and fresh granola bowls, sweeter options like lemon & ricotta pancakes and coconut waffles, seafood items like the Maine lobster roll, and plenty of salads and sandwiches, Sarabeth’s brunch menu which is nothing short of perfect. To say there’s something for everyone is an understatement, because I’ve never seen anyone able to make a quick decision on what they want to eat from this menu.
John ordered the Eggs Benedict, and I had the Farmer’s omelette which is made with leeks, ham, potato and Gruyere cheese, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. Writing this post is making me want to go back!
Sarabeth’s in Tribeca has a fairly big outdoor seating area which makes it very comfortable to bring Minnie with us. Not only did they happily welcome Minnie, but our waiter brought her out a big bowl of cold water which was very much appreciated since it was such a hot summer day and Minnie had put up with an afternoon of mini golfing.
Have you been to Sarabeth’s? What’s your favorite thing on the menu? Leave a comment so I know which dish to try next!
