Yesterday evening, I headed over to the West side for a training/orientation in preparation for some volunteering I’ll be doing with Bike New York this summer. After the training John and I walked the High Line, a mile long park built on a former New York City Railroad line. The sun looked so pretty right before sunset, and it wasn’t too hot. Apologies for the poor quality of these photos, I forgot my camera and all we had were our iPhones 🙁
The High Line is gorgeous place to hang out with friends or even get some work done. The only thing I’m not a fan of is that bikes and dogs are not allowed. On the bright side, there are a bunch of yummy food vendors, cafes and popup shops all along the way, which is really cute! I also think it’s a perfect date spot because it has amazing views of the sunset.
From there, we hopped on Citi Bikes and rode home along the bike path. It was so pretty! Biking along the water under a colorful sunset was the perfect way to end the day.
