I’m so excited that June is here and we can finally spend long sunny days outdoors. I am a firm believer that everyday activities are much more enjoyable when they are done outside, whether I’m working on my blog, grabbing a drink, or having lunch with friends. Picnics are one of my favorite summer activities because I get to combine all of my favorite things into one experience.
I also tend to gravitate toward outdoor activities in the summer because that means Minnie can join, which always makes me happier. She loves exploring new spots, and always prefer to take her out instead of leaving her home all day when I go out.
Battery Park City is one of the nicest spots in the city to picnic, if you don’t want to sit on the ground. There are so many scenic areas of Battery Park that have tables where you can set up a picnic spread. The spot where we took these photos is in my opinion one of the best kept secrets in Lower Manhattan. It’s gorgeous, quiet, and has an amazing view of the marina.
We brought sandwiches, fresh lemonade, a watermelon salad with arugula, mint and feta, lemon cookies, citrus salad, pasta salad, and some assorted cured meats and cheeses.
I’ve been loving a simple crisp white t-shirt and shorts lately since it’s starting to get hot out, and in these photos I’m wearing a graphic tee from Zara that I paired with my ‘cold as ice’ necklace from Shinymix. Minnie is wearing a collar from ShihPooLoverDesigns and the Authentic Grand Prix Harness from Puppia.
On another note, I want to get to know my readers better! Leave a comment and let me know your thoughts 🙂
