I mentioned in my previous post that Easter always feels like the official start of Spring, so I always have the urge to get festive, switch over to brighter colors in my wardrobe and home, and spread around some Spring cheer. I’ll be spending today with family, and my parents are hosting an Easter brunch. I’m looking forward to catching up with everyone, while sipping Mimosas and Bloody Marys of course! I’ll post photos tomorrow 🙂

In the photos above, Minnie is playing with her Easter basket treats. You can find out what’s in Minnie’s Easter basket here. Since chocolate is the token candy of Easter, I treated Minnie by covering some of her favorite biscuits with carob. She LOVED them and it was so easy – I just melted down some carob in a double boiler and started dipping away!

John’s basket has plenty of real chocolate treats, including something I’m looking forward to tasting myself: a ‘Smokehouse BBQ Potato Chips’ dark chocolate bar? It sounded so good I had to add it to his basket. Yesterday, John and I were picking up some last minute Easter gifts for family at Godiva, and we spotted something else we couldn’t resist – Birthday Cake Bark.. I can hardly wait for dessert to try it!

I hope you have a great Easter, if you are celebrating today… and if not, have a great warm and sunny Sunday!

  1. Minnie is too cute in her bunny outfit. I always get Buddy and Ginger an Easter basket too. I am really enjoying the photos of Minnie.

Easter, brunch, mimosas and baskets definitely all belong together. Great idea on the carob treats.

    Happy Easter.
