Brunch is one of Manhattan’s most adored rituals, a weekend event where every New Yorker is obliged to get out of bed and indulge in the most delicious meal of the week at their favorite restaurant.

For those of us who feel guilty leaving behind our dogs, who stare with sad eyes at the door with their heads tilted to one side the moment they catch wind that we’re headed out,  we always prefer to include our furry friends in our weekend city gallivanting.

Needless to say, we always appreciate a good restaurant that welcomes us when we show up with Minnie, and Olio e Piu is one of those spots.  The quality of the food is always excellent and their menu items range from unique one of a kind dishes to classic italian staples. Their own olive oil is their specialty, and it makes an appearance in many of the dishes, like the ‘Frittella Botanica’ – olive oil pancakes with  blueberry compote, lemon ricotta, maple syrup and organic olive oil. If more traditional breakfast, lunch, or dinner items are more your taste, Olio e Piu’s extensive menu does not disappoint. Plus, we love that they’re open 24/7, so that no matter when we’re craving Olio e Piu, we can get instant gratification.
