The Bean is one of our favorite coffee shops in Manhattan. Whether your goal is to get a great cup of coffee, a refreshing beverage or just sit and get some work done, The Bean is the perfect place to go. Plus, dogs are welcome to enjoy a coffee break as well right by your side!
One of our favorite things about The Bean is the atmosphere. The feel is very old-fashioned hipster and the music that’s never playing too loud will mostly always take you back to the 1950’s or the Jazz age. The cushioned window seats lined with cozy pillows make us feel like we are sitting at home, and if that doesn’t make it the perfect spot to relax or get some work done, their free WiFi seals the deal. There’s no time limit on how long you can sit working on your laptop or chatting with friends. The only distraction we ever encounter here occurs when adorable dogs strut in and we have no choice but to stop and say hi.
The Bean’s signature coffee drinks compliment its style well. The ‘Mona Lisa’ is an espresso and milk beverage (also try it frozen), and adding one of our favorite things makes it the ‘Nutella Fitzgerald’. The Chai latte is yummy, and you can make it ‘Dirty’ by adding a shot of espresso. The baristas are all really cool and personable, and serve your coffee quickly. At your request, they’ll make your drink with soy or almond milk. Plus, they have these adorable colorful macarons in unique flavors that can only be found at The Bean locations.
The next time you’re spending the day with your furry friend in the Lower East Side, East Village, or Union Square area, take a coffee break together at The Bean.
