*Please excuse the poor quality of these photos. They were taken on Instagram before we started Minnie in Manhattan.

The Muse Hotel in midtown is the ultimate fusion of a dog-friendly environment and posh upscale glamour.  Not only does the hotel welcome pets of all kinds, but they actually pride themselves in all of the upscale pet services and amenities  that they have available.  The Muse is part of the Kimpton Hotel chain, which is well known for being pet friendly.

The Hotel itself is beautiful, with animal print accents and classical-modern fixtures throughout the rooms and common areas.  Upon our arrival, we received a meat and cheese platter for us humans with bottles of wine and water, and Minnie was bestowed with a VIP (Very Important Pet)  welcome amenity set filled with a large sweet treat, an even bigger squeaky toy, and a bunch of other accessories for her to enjoy.

What sets this hotel apart from the rest is the services that they can provide for your pet.  There is no fee for staying at the hotel with your furry friend, and upon request they will deliver food and water bowls or even a pet bed to your door. You can even ask for a leash to walk your dog and poo-pick-up bags at any time.  Beyond that, they even offer luxury amenities for pets including grooming, pet-sitting, walking, massages, and even acupuncture.

The service at the hotel was impeccable and the staff was accommodating.  And just one more perk that we can’t go without when we’re away from home: Free wifi in the room if you are a Kimpton InTouch member (becoming a member is just a simple sign-up).

Just one thing to note: the room we stayed in was near an ice machine that was not disturbing to us, but Minnie didn’t like the sound it made. So if you’re staying with a pet that may be a bit nervous, we recommend not being near the ice machine!
